OUR STORY

Welcome to NOTLA Farms! Why don’t you pull up a chair and we’ll tell you a little bit about ourselves. You could say we’re a little unconventional and we do things a little, well, backwards. When we moved back home to Missouri in 2011, we had no plans to become “farmers”. Having only owned cats and dogs, the idea of having livestock never crossed our minds.

Then we bought two chickens…

We had no idea they were Cornish-crosses (aka meat birds). Needless to say, it was a learning experience. And that’s the way this entire crazy farm journey began. Completely backwards.

In February 2014, we found ourselves bringing home two dairy goats. Why? Umm…. Because goats. Did we know a thing about dairy goats? No. (Did we mention we typically do things backwards here?) But, we have learned. A LOT.

With the addition of goats in 2014, we officially established our farm. And we’ve continued to grow. Our farm now consists of LaMancha dairy goats, a variety of sheep, livestock guardian dogs, two cows, too many chickens to count, and five ducks.

We invite you to explore the website to discover more about our operations, products, and activities. And if we can help you on your journey, feel free to drop us a line.
